The Home Place
This is the place that we have lived in, raised
our family in, enjoyed, and loved. Now it is
time to turn it over to someone else who will
love it just as much. Nothing fancy - not a
McMansion, not a showplace - just a
comfortable country house that feels like a
comfortable country home.
Here is what you will get:
More Stuff - There are many more items that we simply don't have space
to mention here - welders, generators, scaffolding, air compressors,
electricity on six different metered locations(evenly spaced on three
different 40-acre tracts), security lights set up and in place, a 17- horse
diesel 4-wheel drive, PTO 3-point hookup Yanmar garden tractor, tiller
and brush hog set up, tillers, a custom bale feeder, and lots more.
The Stock - And the stock is what this place is all about. Although it is set up to be easily adapted to cattle or
horses should you wish to switch from sheep and goats, we believe it is one of the premier set-ups for raising
sheep and/or goats. We also like to think we have stock that is on a par with anyone else raising commercial
stock. The stock is mostly commercial, although we do have some registered ewes and a majority of
registered rams from top lines. Sheep stock has been carefully developed for parasite resistance, longevity,
good mothering instincts, ease of lambing, and foot-rot resistance.
What you will get in this sale is the cream of the crop -
all the stock that we have on the place at the time of
sale.
We'll also include hay and any feed or protein supplements, minerals, etc., that we happen to have on
hand at closing.
You will also get
a support system - we'll remain in the area and be only a phone call away if you need
assistance. Oh, yes - and where are you supposed to market this stock? Well, you are within driving distance
of four major cities - Little Rock, Shreveport, Dallas, and Tulsa. You also have a huge Hispanic market
locally. And we'll be happy to give you our
market contacts.
You can't ask for a better deal than that!
Asking price for the M-T-Ranch, complete, is
$1.1 million, or make us an offer we can't
refuse - and won't laugh at. If you want to talk
or have more information, you may contact us

The farmhouse is 2000 square
feet, a ranch-style, with carpet
and tile throughout.
Part of the footage is an apartment with a
handicapped accessible interior, containing
a bedroom, full bath, walk-in closet,
living/dining area, full-kitchen, and
hallway, all wheelchair accessible. The
apartment has a separate entrance from the
front step of the main house, or from the
covered porch, or it can be opened up to be
part of the main house, with two areas of
access. Below is the kitchen - double sink,
lots of cabinet space, and the extra stove
and refrigerator are really handy when
holidays roll around!
The main house has a bath and
three-quarters, with the laundry room
located in the three-quarter bath, three
bedrooms (one currently used as an
artist's studio), a kitchen-dining area, a
den, and a living room with a stone
fireplace, fully tiled, and beautiful
French doors. Every room has more
than one area of access. We have access
to DSL, and use satellite television.
Above: Country kitchen has white cabinets,
lots of storage, tiled counters, a dishwasher, a
double sink and a vegetable sink, and best of
all - a great pot rack!  The floor is now oak
tile - pictures coming soon!
At right: The family room has patio doors,
warm paneling, a stone fireplace, a louvered
window adjoining the living room, a separate
entrance for the bathroom, and gorgeous tile.
It's a truly western atmosphere - perfect for a
ranch home.
The porch on
the
apartment is
at right -
lattice on the
flower beds
has since
been
repainted to
match the
porch.
The yard contains a fenced-off
orchard filled with mature,
bearing, dwarf fruit trees,
including peaches, nectarines,
pears, apples, and cherries.
The yard is
completely
fenced; the
drive is
trailer-friendly,
circles the
entire place,
and is
protected by an
electric gate,
limiting access.
Above: The garden is all natural and
rewards us with fresh vegetables all
summer. This was taken on June 19,
and we have already enjoyed squash,
zucchini, wax beans, tomatoes, and
more cucumbers than we know what
to do with!
But - for now, we want to
talk about the best of what
the Ranch has to offer -
the stock!
