Our goats are smiling. They  have been bred to good, registered Boer bucks.  The goats, like the sheep, are bred for performance on pasture, good mothering abilities, fast growing kids, and hardiness. Anything that does not meet those general criteria is rigorously culled. Most does have twins, a few have triplets, and we have an occasional set of quads.

Goats have one huge plus! They will make a tasty meal out of whatever is handy - including munching pesky bull thistles for lunch!

Sheep and goats are currently turned out together. All goats have kidded in March and April. Our bucks were all royally bred, but the kids are strictly commercial. No papers.
